Fourth graders culminate their study of Native peoples with a potlatch, or ceremonial feast, as celebrated by tribes in the Pacific Northwest. Crafts, games, food and dancing highlight this learning experience. Students were very lucky that Sutton's dad, who has been attending powwows since he was a young teenager, came to share dance traditions and information. Check out the slideshow below.
